Wolfgang, the world’s greatest actor, is getting ready to act out the tale of Red Riding Hood, playing all the roles himself of course. Except Wolfgang is interrupted by a Delivery Person who decides to join the fun. Two actors take on all the roles in this furiously fast, funny and surprising adaptation that asks what it means to bravely write your own story. Like an unexpected package, when you open up a fairytale, you never know what you’re going to find.

Hau, mitakuyepi! Carina is a queer, nonbinary, Dakota Theater Educator & Actor originally from South Dakota.
Carina has been a Teaching Artist and Company Actor at the Rose since Fall of 2018; they are now the Associate Director of CommUNITY Connections at The Rose Theater.
As part of their teaching philosophy, Carina continues to make space for Native youth to share their culture and explore storytelling in a theatrical setting – breaking down theatrical colonial mindset one straw at a time.
Some of their favorite theatrical endeavors include Giraffes Can't Dance(as Gerald), Winnie the Pooh (as Winnie the Pooh), Darkness Like A Dream (as Hermia),The Jungle Book (as Baloo), Ella Enchanted (as Olive), Eurydice (Director), and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Stage Manager/Prop Designer). #MMIW #BLM

Rachel Smart

Wolfgang -

Rachel is ecstatic to make her Rose debut in Red Riding Hood! She has fond memories of watching productions at the Rose as a child, so performing and working here is a dream come true. As a grown up, Rachel is an actor, teacher, playwright, and artist. She graduated in 2022 from Northwestern College where she received her bachelor’s in theater. At NWC she was able to work in almost every realm of theater from performance, to directing, to designing, to dramaturgy, to playwriting, and more! Currently at the Rose Rachel works as a Teaching Artist Fellow. This year she has been blessed to spend her days with intelligent, funny, and insightful students, as well as thoughtful and passionate co-workers. She would like to thank her family, her best friends, and her teachers for always supporting her passion for art.
