SPOT SAYS! A Review of Goosebumps: The Phantom of The Auditorium - The Musical

Do you like spooky stories? How about getting GOOSEBUMPS?! The Rose Theater has the perfect Halloween concoction in Goosebumps: The Phantom of The Auditorium – The Musical! I was barking with laughter but also had my tail between my legs when I saw the ghostly Phantom! Brooke (Audrey Saucier) and Zeke (Elliot Kerkhofs) begin by auditioning for their school musical, The Phantom, and anxiously awaiting their roles in the play! Once they land their dream roles, things quickly change from happy to spine-tingling as they begin to hear and see things throughout the school. Their teacher, Ms. Walker (Ashley Laverty) or as I like to call her, Ms. Dog Walker, tells the students that there is nothing to worry about! Boy was she wrong! The Phantom really stole the show, like that one time I went to the flea circus!

The cast is rounded out with some phantom-tastic talent, with the roles of Tina (Sophie Williams), Emile (Alphonse Kroeten), Brian (Christian Wintle), Anna (Olivia Bryant), Camille (Annlynn Casey), Corey (Carson Bishop) and Steve (Camden Park). Costumes designed by Erin Bragg, lights and eerie sound effects designed by Craig S. Moxon and Christy Hernandez create a ghastly atmosphere for The Phantom to sneak around and protect his home!

All but two of these actors are played by local youth talent, and they all deliver in their parts and come together in song to create what we see on stage. They all have bright futures ahead of them and I can’t wait to see them in more shows around Omaha and around the country!

Get your tickets for Goosebumps: The Phantom of The Auditorium – The Musical today! You don’t want to miss out on this Halloween adventure and I am giving this ten goosebumps out of ten! Two paws up! Bone-afied spooky goodness! Boo! Ok I am getting carried away.

For tickets, visit the-rose.local or call the friendly Rose Box Office at 402-345-4849! Now I need to go check upstairs and make sure The Phantom isn’t in my house!

Until next time,

SPOT
