Milo Imagines the World
Book by Terry Guest. Music by Christian Magby. Lyrics by Christian Albright.
From the book by Matt de la Peña. Illustrated by Christian Robinson.
Published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers
A JOINT COMMISSION BY THE ROSE THEATER (OMAHA, NEBRASKA) AND CHILDREN’S THEATRE COMPANY (MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA)
Directed by Kathy Tyree.
“It makes the ants in my tummy chill out.
I can take whatever is going on in the world and make it better and I don’t need a fancy job or a million-billion dollars.
All I need is a pencil, a piece of paper and my imagination.
Pretty cool right?”
Milo is on a long subway ride with his older sister. To pass the time, he studies the faces around him and makes pictures of their lives. There’s the boy in the suit with the bright white sneakers; Milo imagines him arriving home to a castle with a drawbridge and a butler. But when the boy in the suit gets off on the same stop as Milo—walking the same path, going to the exact same place—Milo realizes that you can’t really know anyone just by looking at them.

Finn always enjoys his time on the stage. With every new role he seems to love the theater more and more. When Finn is not prepping for a role you can find him reading or playing games. He also loves spending time with his 2 brothers and sister. One of his favorite parts of rehearsals is making new friends with his cast-mates. He believes that with every new show he is in it’s like he automatically makes a whole new group of friends. He says if you are friends with the people you act with, it’s easier to be more authentic on stage. Finn can’t wait for everyone to see Milo and learn some great life lessons! Previous Credits:

I have been blessed to perform on the Rose stage. Thank you to my Wife Joan and my three kids, Tristen, Brandon and Lexy. Without their constant love and support, this journey would not have been made. This Theater holds a special place in my heart. As a veteran of shows, all around the country, THIS place has proven to be "special". My goal in this production, is just to be another link in the chain, a true member of this small village, that makes up THIS village - according to Milo. And a SPECIAL spotlight on Artistic Director Matt Gutschick and my beloved Director, Kathy Tyree. May here light always shine forth. My Performance is due to the due diligence of Stage Manager Erin and Music Man Boston. Thank You. And a very grateful "thanks" to our Choreographer, Natalie. Her bottomless patience and endless joy, allowed my feet to find their way, eventually. Previous (ROSE) Credits:
