Day of Show Guidelines

Arrival

Please arrive 15 minutes before curtain. Latecomers will be seated at the House Manager’s discretion.

Upon arrival, please remain seated on the bus until a Rose Staff Member has given your bus driver parking instructions.

Seating

All school groups are assigned reserved seating. An usher will escort your students from the bus, into the theater and to the correct seating area. Please have your students ready. No food or drink is allowed inside the theater’s seating area.

Departure

For pick up, busses are asked to form a line behind the parked vehicles on 20th Street south of Farnam. Please do not double park, cut around other busses in line, or pull up to the building before the busses in front of you have properly departed. Once your bus is loaded, please depart promptly in order to allow other busses to proceed with their pick up.

Accessibility

At the Rose Theater, we believe everyone should have the chance to enjoy the wonder of theater. That’s why we go out of our way to make sure our field trip performances and workshops are accessible to all guests, of all abilities.

For students and teachers visiting for School Shows, we offer several accommodations. Up to 10 wheelchair seats are available for each performance. Our main auditorium and Hitchcock Stage are accessible via elevator, and there are wheelchair-accessible restrooms in the lower lobby and on the mezzanine level. Individual single-user restrooms are also available on the mezzanine.

Please let us know if you need any accommodations for mobility challenges, hearing or vision impairment or sensory sensitivities.

Add A Workshop

Pre- or Post-show acting workshops are a great way to enhance your students’ field trip experience. By studying the characters, plot and themes from the show, students will gain a deeper appreciation for the theatrical process. In addition to acting exercises, students will receive a tour of the sets and view the costume and make-up designs from the show.
