Based on the novel that inspired the Oscar-winning movie, Babe, The Sheep Pig tells a thrilling tale about sharing your gifts with the world. When a tiny piglet arrives at the Hogget Farm, he is mentored by a wise dog named Fly who shares the secrets of sheepherding with the young pig. Babe soon learns that, to his and to Farmer Hogget’s amazement, he has a unique gift for gently herding sheep. But will Babe succeed on the largest stage of all, the Grand Challenge Sheep Dog Trials? Or will he be laughed off the stage?

Mallory Vallier is proud to return to The Rose stage in Babe, The Sheep Pig. She previously played a pig in last year’s production of Shrek, also at The Rose. Mallory’s other stage credits include Sherrie in Rock of Ages at the Omaha Community Playhouse (Bill Bailey Debut Award), Heather McNamara in Heathers at the Bluebarn Theater (TAG Award - Best Ensemble), Iola Morton in The Secret of the Old Queen: A Hardy Boys Musical Adventure and various roles in RENT, both at SNAP!. Outside of performing, Mallory is a substitute teacher for various school districts in the Omaha area. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, eating all the sushi and bagels, and watching too much TV. Enjoy the show!

Robby is happy to be at The Rose again in this show. He has also been seen in Shrek The Musical as Shrek, Big Nate as Nate Wright, Jackie and Me as Joey Stoshack, Cat in the Hat as The Boy, Peter and the Starcatcher as Mack, and more. He wants to thank his friends for supporting him, the artists he has a chance to work with, and his parents who have shown him nothing but love and support.

Robyn Helwig recently celebrated the one year anniversary of her move to Omaha to work as a teaching artist at the Rose Theater. Born and raised on the west coast, Robyn received her BA in Theater Arts from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. While in Nebraska she has designed for for Revelation and Neighbors, Lovers and All the Others at Shelterbelt, Bent at Snap! and Much Ado About Nothing at BLT. Most recently she has been seen onstage in Thumbelina at the Rose, 1776 at the Omaha Community Playhouse and making dumb jokes with her improv team at the Backline Comedy Club. When not traipsing about the theater, Robyn enjoys long walks on the beach, eating burritos, and helping her cat, Pancake, achieve her dream of starring in an all cats version of Cats.

J.J. Davis (MA, Multiple Roles), a Baltimore native, was last seen in the Bluebarn Theater Production of “THE RESISTABLE RISE OF ARTURO UI” (Multiple Roles). J.J. portrayed Professor Willard in the Bluebarns’ Award-Winning Production of “Our Town”. Prior to that he was last seen in his Award -Winning role as The Foreman in “12 ANGRY MEN” at the Omaha Community Playhouse. JJ received the Bill Bailey Award for Best Debut by a Male Actor at the Playhouse. An award-winning Sportscaster at KPTM Fox 42 in Omaha and around the country, J.J. has shared one set or stage with another. Other credits include Stanley Williamson in “CRAZY MARRIAGE” at the Off-Hollywood Showcase Theater in Los Angeles, CA, Hysterium in “A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM” at the Pennsylvania Summer Theater Festival, Jamie O’Hanlin in “NOBODY HEARS A BROKEN DRUM” & as Ellard in “THE FOREIGNER” at the Scranton Public Theater, McCue in “THE FRONT PAGE” presented by the Billings Gazette in Billings, MT, Murray Burns in “A THOUSAND CLOWNS” with the Cobblestone Players in Wilmington, NC, William Dowton in “THE DRUNKARD” at the Spokane Civic Theater in Spokane, WA, “THE MEDAL WINNER” at the Corner Theater & “LADY WINDERMERE’S FAN” at the Vagabond Players in Baltimore, and more. This is his first venture into the dreamland of Childrens’ Theater. JJ, a self-proclaimed “kid” who will NEVER grow up couldn’t be more excited!

Miriam G is delighted to be at the Rose trying to save yet another pig!  Audiences might remember her as Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web, Ama/Enrique in Tomas and the Library Lady, and the Cat in If You Give a Cat a Cupcake. Miriam has thrice been published as original cast:  Naomi Iizuka’sPolaroid Stories (director Jon Jory), Michael Bigelow Dixon and Val Smith’s The League of Semi-Superheroes, and in the title role of Gary Kirkham’sQueen Milli of Galt.  She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from University of Cincinnati and has worked in theatre in the U.S. and Canada.  Before immigrating to the Midwest, she lived in  Vancouver where she did wacky things like work on The Perfect Score (as Scarlett Johansson’s stand-in.) The careful observer can see her hands as Velma’s photo double in Scooby Doo 2 and as a gauze-eyed patient in Freddy Vs. Jason.  Currently, Miriam is working on her third series of podcasts for discerninghearts.com and preparing to direct Amahl and the Night Visitors for the newly founded Nebraska Opera Project. She is the happily-married mother of four unique little people.

Jessica Burrill-Logue  (Sheep/Puppy/Ensemble) is thrilled and honored to back on the beautiful Rose stage. After making her debut here as Bunny’s friendly sidekick,Mouse, in Goodnight Moon, she is excited to returning in another animal role! Her recent credits include: Widow Douglas/Mary Jane- Huck Finn, Mouse/Dog/Baby Bear - Good Night Moon, Dorothy Gale - The Wizard of Oz, Bonnie Latour - Anything Goes, Cinderella - Into The Woods, and Adelaide - Guys & Dolls. Jessica has been the voice for commercials and videos in the metro (when not behind the camera) and has worked with shows on CBS and the Discovery Channel. She is a professional photographer in the Omaha area, and when not on stage she enjoys spending time with her two amazing artistic girls - Jules and Jocey, her fuzzy little joys farm (adorable dwarf bunnies and guinea pigs), taking fun daily picture with her vintage Blythe dolls (she always has one with her), and having her hands busy with some sweet fiber therapy through knitting and weaving. She would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her crazy dreams, allowing her to dance amongst the stars, and helping forever find joy in the journey.

Kim Clark-Kaczmarek possesses a B.A. in theatre from Nebraska Wesleyan University and an M.A. in Theatre from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.   Kim was recently seen in the Rose’s Prancer last season.  She is very involved in the Omaha theatre community including working with the Living Picture Project, Nebraska Shakespeare, The Rose, Omaha Community Playhouse and the Great Plains Theatre Conference.  Kim is a teaching artist for Why ARTS, Arts in Motion, SNJ Studios and is on the artist roster for the Nebraska Arts Council Artists in Schools program.

Chloe is a contract teaching artist at The Rose Theater. Growing up in the Omaha area, she feels very grateful to be working somewhere she admired so much as a youngster. Chloe graduated from Peru State College in 2016 with a degree in Special Education K-12 and Early Childhood Education Unified. You may recognize her from her role in Thumbelina last winter.  Chloe is so excited to bring this barnyard tale to life on the mainstage and wants to give a million thanks to all her friends, family, and Rose buds!

Hayley Greenstreet comes from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She earned her BA in Theatre from Wake Forest University in 2015, and has since worked as an Education Intern at Lexington Children's Theater in Kentucky and, after working as a Teaching Artist Fellow, is returning this year at The Rose as a Teaching Artist Contract! She has multiple interests within the theater realm including, but not limited to: educating, performing, directing, and props mastering. She has most recently performed in The Rose's productions of Huck Finn and Thumbelina. She hopes to continue her work with Theater for Young Audiences by attending grad school in the upcoming years (though she is not sure where yet)! She is so very happy to be working at The Rose Theater where she and the rest of the wonderful education staff continue to engage, inspire, and empower students every day. Adam Sherrerd lives in Omaha and has two feet: one for tracing the pleasant presence of the present tense, the other firmly planted at the intersection of sound design and biology. He composes and performs music locally in array of diverse contexts and draws inspiration from his work through direct participation in the cycles and seasons of the wild. He has composed and performed original music for several productions at The Rose, and is eager to continue to pursue theater as an avenue for weaving dreams into the physical realm and for cultivating communal joy across cultural landscapes.
