Berenstain Bears Save Christmas

Please select either audition date to attend. The Rose is looking for singers and dancers between the ages of 8 and 18 to perform in "The Berenstain Bears Save Christmas" and in a show choir-style performance that will take place prior to each show. Please bring sheet music for a prepared song to the auditions. Prepared music is preferred; however, if sheet music is unavailable, auditioners have the option of singing a well known song like “My Country ‘Tis of Thee.” Auditioners will also be asked to learn a short dance combination and perform it in small groups. Advanced dancers should attend one of the 6 pm auditions and then stay for an additional Advanced Dancer Audition, which will be held the last half hour of each night.

The Imperial Nutcracker

The Omaha Theater Ballet is looking for dancers between the ages of 6 and 18 with beginning to pre-professional dance ability to perform in "The Imperial Nutcracker" at the Orpheum. Rehearsals will begin as early as September 17th. All interested boys and girls, ages 6 - 13, with beginning to beginning-intermediate dance ability (Pre-Dance through Ballet III) can audition between 6:00 and 6:45 pm. All interested boys and girls, ages 9 - 18, with beginning-intermediate to pre-professional dance experience (Ballet III through Pre-Professional) can audition between 7:00 and 7:45 pm.

Teens ages 13 and older, who have not yet graduated from high school, are welcome to audition. Improvisation, writing and group scene creation will be required as part of the audition process for this production which explores that it means to be a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or straight-allied teen.

Middle school and high school actors who speak English and Spanish are encouraged to audition for this show which will explore social and cultural issues facing the Chicano/Latino community. This bilingual troupe presents theatrical work by local and national Latino playwrights to reclaim and affirm Latino history and culture.
